Ingredients

(for four people)
· 4 pieces of salted cod (unsalt)
· Potatoes
· Garlic
· Sweet paprika
· Oil, vinegar and salt
· One onion (to flavour the stock)
· Water


Preparation

Boil the onion, cod and potatoes in a dish.
Heat some oil in a pan, add the chopped garlic and once this has browned add the vinegar and paprika, leaving this to simmer on a very low heat for a few minutes. Pour this mixture over the cod and potatoes and serve piping hot.

This recipe can be applied to many different types of fish. In the coastal towns they use sea water for boiling. You can also make it with cabbage or cauliflower.
